Who Is Ben Platt?
Ben Platt was born in Los Angeles. He is the fourth born in a family of five, and his parents are Julie and Marc Platt. His father is a renowned film and television producer who is known for his production of the Wicked Musical. Also important to note is that he comes from a Jewish family.
He went to school at Adderly School of Performing Arts in the Pacific Palisades where he was able to perform in productions such as Bye Bye Birdies and Into the Woods. He also attended the Harvard-Westlake school in Los Angeles where he graduated in 2011. He also attended Colombia University in New York where he dropped out after six weeks to fulfill his contract with The Book of Mormon. Later on, he went back to the same school and became a member of the acapella musical group Nonsequitur.

He also played Claude Bukowski at the Colombia University Production called, Hair: The American Tribal Love-Rock Musical. He has been part of very many, but his performance in Pitch Perfect made his stand out. The movie received a lot of commercial success and received mostly positive reviews from critics. From his performance, he was nominated for the teens choice awards for the category Choice Movie: Male Scene Stealer for this work. After that, he has made appearances in many movies.
